Sunday, January 5 saw the official opening of the 30th Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in China. The largest festival of its kind, the Harbin festival this year employed over 7,000 artists and workers to complete the snow city which will be open to the public for one month. The city of Harbin is located in the north-east of the country and bears the full brunt of the cold winter wind from Siberia, making it the perfect spot to host this icy wonderland.
