Apart from Nobita, other characters in the manga include Takeshi Goda, Shizuka Minamoto and Suneo Honekawa.  These characters bring colour and life into the story with their differing personalities.

Takeshi Goda: Usually known by his nickname ‘Gian’ (from the English word ‘Giant’), Takeshi is a big and strong boy who likes bullying the weak. He loves to sing but is tone-deaf.

Suneo Honekawa: Takeshi’s good friend who comes from a rich family. Due to his family background, Suneo is often self-centred and arrogant. In crucial times, however, his bravery shines through as he goes all out for his friends.

Shizuka Minamoto: Quick-witted and kind-hearted Shizuka is a model student whose violin-playing skills are as bad as Takeshi’s singing. She is Nobita’s future wife.
